How does Myexis know which companies I use?
You tell it. Add the companies you use from the catalog, or add one by name. Myexis never connects to your email or any account; the map is yours to build.
Where does my data go?
To Myexis, nowhere: there is no Myexis server. Everything you add stays on your iPhone. If you sign in with Apple, a private backup is also kept in your own iCloud, and Myexis never asks for your email address. The one thing Myexis downloads is Have I Been Pwned’s public list of data breaches, the same file for everyone. Like any download it shows your iPhone’s IP address to Have I Been Pwned; nothing else about you is sent. See our Privacy Policy.
Where does the breach information come from?
From Have I Been Pwned, a public record of known data breaches. A copy ships with Myexis and is refreshed about once a day. Myexis compares it with the companies on your map on your iPhone; your list is never sent to Have I Been Pwned or anyone else. A company appearing in a breach doesn’t mean your own account was in it; the breach page in the app says what leaked and what to do.
Where do company facts like the owner or founding year come from?
From Wikidata, the free public knowledge base. Myexis only shows a fact when the source is clear and consistent. If it isn’t, the line stays hidden rather than guessing.
Do actions in Myexis change my real accounts?
No. Hiding, removing, or noting a company changes only your Myexis map; it doesn’t close the account, unsubscribe you, or contact the company. When you’re ready to close something, Help in the app has the general steps, and the company’s page in Myexis opens their website, where you make the change with them directly.
How do I delete my data?
In the app, open You → Settings (the gear) → Help & FAQ → Managing your data.Clear All Data deletes your map, notes, costs and reminders from this iPhone and, if you’re signed in, your iCloud backup. Delete Account does the same, deletes your iCloud backup if you signed in with Apple, signs you out and resets the app. Deleting the app removes the data on the device only, so use Delete Account first if you also want the backup gone. There is no Myexis server, so there is nothing else to erase.
Is Myexis free?
Yes. Myexis is free. Everything the app does is included, with no subscription and no in-app purchases.
